Adam Jones Queen Bee
This Epiphone Adam Jones Queen Bee Les Paul Custom in Antique Silverburst finish has already been spotted online for sale via an Epiphone dealer in the US. Earlier this week the official launch of the Adam Jones Ernst Fuchs Les Paul Custom Silverburst with Anti-Laokoon 1965.
The listing, which has now been pulled down from the site, had 15 November as the release date. I am assuming this will also be another limited run of 800 guitars.
It looks as though this latest and final release in the Art Collection Series also has an extra Bee graphic on the front of the guitar.
This will, no doubt. be something that fans will either love or hate. I personally, think it looks a little lost and out of place. As there is no official word on this leaked Queen Bee model, I cannot guarantee that it is the final release version of this signature guitar.
The specifications for this model are exactly the same as previous incarnations in this series.
- Bound mahogany body with a maple cap
- Three-piece bound maple neck with Adam Jones Custom profile
- Ebony fretboard
- Reverse-mounted Epiphone ProBucker Custom humbucker in the neck position
- Seymour Duncan Distortion pickup in the bridge position
- CTS potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors
- Epiphone Protector hardshell case
They are really nice guitars, though there is certainly a premium price tag with these models. The signature element, plus limited runs of 800 of each model has meant that the prices have been fairly high on these models.
I’m not 100% convinced by that Bee graphic on the front though. Let us know what you think of this release in the comments section.
