Benson Amps, a Portland, Oregon-based company known for its high-quality, zero-compromise amplifiers, had a close call last night (June 24th) when a fire broke out at their warehouse. Thankfully, everyone on the Benson Amps crew was safely evacuated, according to the company’s updates on Instagram Stories.

Benson Amps posted a photo showing a significant cloud of dark smoke billowing from their Oregon warehouse. Shortly after, they followed up with a reassuring message confirming the crew’s safety and thanking followers for their well wishes.

In a later update, the company included a photo of a fire engine outside the warehouse and provided a cautiously optimistic outlook: “I think the warehouse will be OK, we’ll see what the smoke decides to do. We bagged up all of the almost finished amps tightly.”

The Stonkbox is based on the 1965 MK1 Tonebender fuzz designed by Gary Hurst.
