Things are already not looking good for Chapman Guitars’ new UK-built line. I originally wrote about the upcoming new Chapman Guitars line back in 2022. When KDH made a video about the latest attempt by Rob Chapman to launch a UK-built guitar line
Made in England Workshop Series
The official announcement from Chapman Guitars:
We’ve recently been made aware that it’s looking unlikely that UK Guitar Builders (UKGB) will be able to fulfil any more orders for the companies it supplies, including Chapman’s UK workshop series.

UK-fail?
This all just goes to show how hard it is to launch a UK-built guitar range in today’s marketplace. Especially, as there are lots of cheap imports offering great value for money.
Plus, there are lots of great boutique hand-built guitars for very reasonable price points that are already on the market. I think Rob Chapman‘s vision of a UK-built guitar range is slowly fading.
UK Guitar Builders
UKGB the makers of these UK-built Chapman Guitars has yet to make an official statement and so currently, the only information we have is the Instagram post from Chapman Guitars.
Looks like KDH was right with his predictions though.
