Danelectro has resurrected its iconic Spring King reverb pedal in a compact “Junior” version. The original, known for its ’50s-era spring reverb and unique “kickable” design, gained cult status in the 1990s.
Spring King Reverb Junior
The Spring King Junior retains the heart of its predecessor – an actual spring reverb tank – while significantly reducing its footprint. While the dedicated ‘kick pad’ is gone, the pedal is still designed to be kicked for those signature wobbly tones (though pedalboard placement might require some strategic thinking).

Streamlined Control
Control-wise, the Junior features Tone and Reverb dials, omitting the Volume control found on the original. A small indicator light illuminates when the pedal is engaged.

Smaller and still Warmer
Despite its smaller size, the Junior delivers the same warm, characterful reverb as its predecessor. From subtle washes to dramatic, kicked-out effects, the Spring King Junior captures the essence of classic spring reverb.

Preorder
Danelectro also claims the Junior is “Even better than the 1999 original,” while available at $199, it’s currently only listed on Thomann.
