Gibson has relaunched its Repair and Restoration shop in Nashville, Tennessee. Services offered include basic instrument setups, structural repairs, custom paint jobs, and even guitar valuation.

The re-launched Gibson Repair and Restoration Shop offers musicians the chance to have their vintage instruments brought back to life, with full re-frets and repair work undertaken by the Gibson team.
Not just Gibson branded
Gibson isn’t limiting the service to its instruments only. As it says in a statement: “We work with all types of guitar-like instruments from all brands.” So you could as quickly send on your vintage Fender ’57 Stratocaster for some work!
If you live in the US, shipping to and from them is free, which is a nice touch. The small Gibson team will then work on your instrument and get it back up and running, using all their accumulated years of knowledge.

Dear Sir: I am planning on purchasing a Gibson 6-string acoustic guitar for a gift and I am interested in acquiring an estimate for inlay work on the 14th fret of the neck. The specific inlay is a pearl block with the word MELODEE in black letters. Please email any comments and especially an estimate.
