Guitarists craving expanded looping capabilities, look no further! Valeton has unveiled the VLP-400, a powerful dual looper that builds upon the success of its VLP-200 predecessor, offering a wealth of features designed to ignite creativity and enhance live performance.
Valeton VLP-400
The VLP-400 stands out with its independent control of two loops (LOOP 1 and LOOP 2), allowing for simultaneous recording, overdubbing, and playback. This opens up a world of possibilities for layered performances and dynamic arrangements.
A key highlight is the integrated collaboration mode (SERIAL & FREE), enabling seamless transitions between loops or parallel playback for intricate sonic textures.

Dual Looping and Drum Machine Synergy
Beyond its dual looping capabilities, the VLP-400 boasts a robust built-in drum machine with 100 stereo patterns, controllable via dedicated footswitches. This feature, inherited from the VLP-200, is now enhanced with footswitch control and a wider range of drum kits (rock, pop, jazz, electronic, metal, and more). The VLP-400 intelligently synchronizes loop tempo with the drum machine, ensuring a tight and professional sound.

Enhanced Creative Control
Valeton has equipped the VLP-400 with ASSIGN knobs and an ASSIGNABLE footswitch, providing access to seven loop effects: OCTAVE, REVERSE, FREEZE, HALF, FADE, ONCE, and SOLO.
These effects, indicated by a purple footswitch light when active, can be manipulated on the fly, adding dynamic flair to performances.

Intelligent Overdubbing and Flexible Modes
The VLP-400 supports intelligent doubling of overdubs, allowing for precise control over loop length. The “STACK” function, accessible via a long-press of the ASSIGNABLE footswitch, caters to traditional overdubbing preferences.
The device offers two loop playback modes: SERIAL and FREE. SERIAL mode facilitates seamless switching between loops for structured song arrangements, while FREE mode allows for completely independent operation of LOOP 1 and LOOP 2.

One thought on “Valeton VLP-400: Dual Looping Powerhouse with Drum Machine and More!”
When will this product be available in the United States, like at Sweetwater for example. I’ve never purchased any musical gear from the UK and I have no idea how that would work.
Thanks in advance.
