NAMM 2025: Fano Guitars and Novo Guitars have announced a merger, forming a new parent company called Psonic Design Lab. This significant development will see both brands operate under the leadership of renowned luthier Dennis Fano.

Fano and Novo Guitars Merge

Fano, the founder of his namesake company, has been overseeing Novo Guitars since 2015. This merger reunites Fano with his original brand, allowing him to “reclaim his name” and continue pushing the boundaries of guitar design.

Key Changes

  • Manufacturing Shift: Fano Guitars’ production will move to Novo’s expanded Nashville facility.
  • Leadership Team: Neil Reed will serve as CEO of Psonic Design Lab, with Travis Tingley as COO.
  • Sales Consolidation: Chad Hines will lead US sales for both brands, while Steve Gray will handle international sales.
  • Fano’s Role: Dennis Fano assumes the roles of Chairman of Psonic Design Lab and Head of Product Design.

Brand Synergy

This merger aims to leverage the strengths of both brands, allowing for increased innovation and development. Fano Guitars recently introduced the Alt de Facto RB12 12-string, while Novo has unveiled models like the Ivorus Bass and the Vulture B6.
