Magneto Guitars Velvet Deluxe is out just in time for NAMM 2024. This guitar, a masterful redesign of the 2012 Velvet Custom, is engineered for enthusiasts of both clean and overdriven tones, blending classic design with modern craftsmanship.

The Velvet Deluxe, a remarkable 24 3/4”-scale set-neck guitar, is meticulously crafted for superior playability and tone. Its African Mahogany body features a chambered top for reduced weight, paired with a matching neck. The rosewood fretboard, adorned with Magneto’s distinctive rhombus inlays, enhances its visual appeal. The guitar’s sculpted neck-to-body transition ensures effortless access to the higher frets, inviting adventurous playing styles.
Metro Pole MAC-5
Tonal excellence is at the heart of the Velvet Deluxe, starting with its bone nut which ensures a rich tonal response, characterized by robust mids and a balanced treble. This tonal harmony is further enhanced by Magneto’s own-brand Metro Pole MAC-5 humbuckers. These pickups, with Alnico 5 magnets, are fine-tuned for enriched harmonics and solid bass response, catering to the needs of classic tone aficionados.
The guitar’s headstock, set at a 14° angle, is equipped with reliable Grover tuners. It features control knobs for tone, volume, and a versatile three-way pickup switch.

Magneto Guitars, a French boutique guitar manufacturer, has a history of creating visually and sonically stunning instruments. Priced similarly to Magneto’s other deluxe models, around the $1,000 mark, the Velvet Deluxe promises affordability without compromising quality. Visitors to NAMM 2024 can experience the first Velvet Deluxe models at the Lyon and Healy Corporation booth Nr. 5314.
Available for order in May, the Velvet Deluxe comes in an array of stunning silk finishes, including metallic green, candy apple red, metallic orange, and sunset gold.
