Supercool Pedals, renowned for their innovative takes on classic stompboxes, has once again pushed the boundaries of guitar tone with the Barstow Bat. This latest release pays homage to the legendary ProCo Rat distortion pedal while introducing many modern enhancements to deliver a versatile and powerful sonic experience.

A Rat with Extra Bite

The Barstow Bat amplifies the classic Proco Rat’s core DNA. The familiar Drive and Level controls are joined by a flexible three-band EQ, allowing for precise tone shaping that goes beyond the original’s simple Filter control. This expanded control set empowers players to dial in a wide range of tones, from subtle overdrive to full-blown distortion.

Two Versions, Endless Possibilities

Supercool Pedals offers two distinct versions of the Barstow Bat to cater to different sonic preferences:

  1. Standard White Edition: This version features silicon clipping for a classic Rat sound, with the Turbo mode switching to LED clipping for more gain and midrange.
  2. Limited Black Edition: This special edition boasts rare NOS Germanium 1n34a diodes, offering a unique, vintage-inspired tone. The Turbo mode activates these diodes for extra warmth and grit.
