These new Gibson Custom Color SG Standard and Standard 61 models add six new finish options to the popular US model

Gibson has just launched the new Custom Color SG Standard and Standard 61 models. Adding six new color options to both models.

The Gibson Custom Color SG Standard and Standard 61 are now available in a range of new finish options.

SG Standard Custom Color

The SG Standard features a rounded profile mahogany neck and 490R and 490T Alnico 2 humbucking pickups for Patent Applied For tone with a slight increase in upper midrange response.  The long tenon 19th fret neck joint and solid mahogany body provide classic SG tones.

It is now available in the new Cardinal Red Burst, Translucent Teal, TV Yellow, Silver Mist, Classic White, and Pelham Blue Burst finishes.

SG Standard ‘61 Custom Color

The SG Standard ‘61 features a SlimTaper mahogany neck and 60s Burstbucker humbucker pickups for a classic voice with added power and top end. The mahogany body features deeply sculpted body scarfing, a 5-ply teardrop pickguard, and a 22nd fret neck joint.

This model is now also available in Silver Mist, Classic White, TV Yellow, Cardinal Red Burst, Translucent Teal, and Pelham Blue Burst finishes.
