Modern Twists on Classic Tone
While the core of the ODP250’s classic “Silicon” mode remains intact, the 50th-anniversary edition introduces two additional modes:
- Ge/ASYM: This mode employs a germanium diode for asymmetric clipping, delivering a vintage-inspired drive tone.
- Lift: By removing diode clipping, this mode unleashes the full potential of the classic LM741 chip, offering a clean boost or subtle overdrive.
