Fender has announced the Vintera II Road Worn series, a new limited-edition line of electric guitars and basses that gives players the authentic, broken-in feel of a vintage instrument without the vintage price tag.

Vintera II Road Worn

The series applies the brand’s popular Road Worn aging process to several models from the Vintera II range, featuring era-correct specifications and an aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish.

The Look and Feel of a Golden Era Classic

The core of the Vintera II Road Worn series is its commitment to recreating the “Golden Era” of Fender’s history. The instruments feature aged semi-gloss nitrocellulose finishes that showcase subtle wear, light checking, and a feel that’s been authentically played in but also well-cared for. This offers a nuanced aesthetic that leaves plenty of room for players to add their own unique story and wear.

Era-Correct Features and Authentic Tone

Beyond the visual appeal, the Vintera II Road Worn models are built for vintage tone. Each instrument is equipped with era-correct pickups that are reverse-engineered from classic ’50s and ’60s designs, all housed within solid alder bodies.

The neck profiles are also decade-appropriate, featuring the classic C-shape, topped with a vintage-spec 7.25″ radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets for an old-school playing experience.

  • ’60s Stratocaster: Features a trio of vintage-voiced single-coil pickups and a 2-point synchronized tremolo system with bent-steel saddles. Priced at £1,349 / $1,599.
  • ’60s Telecaster: Equipped with vintage-style tuners and a three-saddle bridge with steel saddles, showing impressive detail like oxidized Fender logos. Priced at £1,349 / $1,599.
  • ’50s Jazzmaster: Features the archetypal floating vibrato and the classic Lead/Rhythm circuit. Both variants come with anodized gold pickguards. Priced at £1,399 / $1,699.
  • ’60s Precision Bass: The iconic bass is equipped with a single split-coil pickup, vintage-style bridge, and knurled metal controls. Priced at £1,399 / $1,599.
