Looking for a sweet new axe? The Donut Guitar, a unique creation from the Copper Guitars Workshop, is making waves and catching eyes. Crafted by luthier Artem Mayer, who goes by ArtMayer, this instrument is more than just a guitar—it’s a “pop-art object at the intersection of modern art and musical craftsmanship.”
From Wood to “Dough”
Mayer started with a single piece of wood, carefully drilling out the initial donut holes. He then meticulously chiseled and shaped the wood to create realistic, sloping curves, giving the guitars their signature “doughy” look. The painstaking attention to detail is evident in every curve and edge.
Sprinkles
The vibrant finish is what truly brings these guitars to life. After applying a base layer of paint, Mayer hand-painted the colorful glazing and intricate details. But here’s the best part: it has sprinkles!

A Tribute to a Fan Favorite
Mayer also included a special homage to perhaps the most famous donut lover of all time: Homer Simpson. The unique 12th fret inlay features a hand, recognizable as Homer’s, reaching for a pink, sprinkle-covered donut. Even the P-90 pickup and its volume knob have been given a “glutinous” treatment to perfectly blend into the delicious scene.
P90 Pickup
This Singlecut Donut guitar is a must-have for Simpsons fans and anyone who wants a guitar that’s as unique as it is sweet. With its single P-90 pickup in the bridge position and a wraparound bridge, it’s not just a work of art—it’s a fully functional instrument ready to rock.
Whether you’re a collector of unique instruments or simply have a sweet tooth, the Donut Guitar is a feast for the eyes and ears. If you prefer savoury treats, then check out the Pizza Guitar!
