EHX Lizard Queen Octave Fuzz
Originally conceived by Scott and Danger as a homage to that “design heyday,” the Lizard Queen was brought to life by EHX engineers, who meticulously translated Scott’s original circuit design into a production model. EHX’s rich fuzz heritage inspires the pedal’s core tone, but it introduces a unique analog octave-up circuit first previewed on “The JHS Show” in 2022.
This combination, according to EHX, creates a “completely new and unique EHX fuzz sound we’ve never heard before.”
Adding to its retro charm, the Lizard Queen is adorned with striking, vintage EHX-inspired graphics penned by Daniel Danger, further cementing its connection to the brand’s storied past.
Housed in EHX’s compact Nano-sized chassis, the Lizard Queen is a fixed-gain fuzz pedal featuring three intuitive controls: Volume, Octave, and Balance.
- The Volume knob controls the overall output level.
- The Octave control allows players to dial in the amount of analog octave-up signal, ranging from subtle to “full octave chaos.” This versatility makes it suitable for crafting everything from “crushing rhythm sounds” to “chimey, clanging lead tones.”
- The Balance knob offers further tonal sculpting, shifting between a “smoother Shadow setting” and a “raspy, biting Sun setting.” The effect of the Balance control is particularly pronounced when the octave is set high, providing a wide spectrum of fuzz textures.

Key Features of the EHX Lizard Queen Octave Fuzz:
- Unique transistor-based octave fuzz distortion circuit designed by Josh Scott
- Blendable Octave control for dialing in analog octave-up effects
- Balance control to adjust between smooth sustaining tones and raspy fuzz
- 1970s Electro-Harmonix inspired graphic designed by Daniel Danger
- True Bypass for signal integrity
- Includes a 9V battery (optional 9V adapter not included)
The Lizard Queen is an analog circuit with true bypass, ensuring that your signal remains unaffected when the pedal is disengaged. It operates on a 9V battery (included) or an optional 9.6VDC-200mA power adapter. With dimensions of 4.5 x 2.75 x 2.1 inches and a current draw of 5mA, it’s designed to fit seamlessly onto any pedalboard.

Retro ’70s Style Fuzz
The EHX Lizard Queen Octave Fuzz is poised to appeal to fuzz enthusiasts and collectors alike, offering a fresh take on classic tones with a distinct vintage aesthetic.
