Fender Japan has unveiled its latest masterpiece, the Sakura Telecaster, a visually arresting electric guitar inspired by the iconic Japanese cherry blossoms. With three distinct finish variations, each reflecting different stages of the spring “Sakura” season, this limited-edition instrument is poised to become a collector’s item and a player’s dream.
Sakura Telecaster
The new Telecaster line features three breathtaking finishes: “Hatsu-Zakura,” representing the first cherry blossoms of the year with a delicate blue and pink blend; “Ouun,” evoking the ethereal beauty of cherry blossom clouds, also in a captivating blue and pink palette; and “Oukaranman,” a pristine white finish symbolizing the full bloom of the cherry blossoms. Each guitar boasts a matching headstock and a transparent pickguard, allowing the intricate body designs to shine through.
“The body top features a stunning design that captures the essence of cherry blossoms,” stated Fender Japan in a press release. “Beyond its breathtaking aesthetics, this model is meticulously crafted for superior playability and exceptional sound, making it a true performer’s delight!”

Construction
Underneath the captivating visuals, the Sakura Telecaster maintains a classic Fender feel. It features an alder body, vintage-style Tele pickups, vintage tuners, a three-saddle bridge, and a 9.5”-radius rosewood fingerboard with narrow-tall frets.
The modern touch comes in the form of Fender Japan’s signature satin finish on the “U”-shaped neck. All three variations share a clean white back finish and a “Japan Tokyo Harajuku” neckplate, highlighting their exclusive origin.

Fender Flagship Tokyo
The release’s timing coincides perfectly with the anticipation of Japan’s cherry blossom season, which typically begins in late March and draws a massive influx of tourists.
The Made in Japan Limited Sakura Telecaster will be available for purchase starting March 21st, exclusively at the Fender Flagship Tokyo store and the Fender Japan online store.

Limited Edition
Priced at ¥198,000 (approximately $1,330 USD), this limited-edition guitar is expected to sell out quickly.
As with other art-inspired models from Fender Japan, availability is restricted to the Japanese market. Music enthusiasts and collectors alike are already clamoring to secure this unique and visually stunning instrument. They follow the recent Starmaster offset models exclusive to the Japanese market.
