Fender Japan has announced the release of the Made in Japan Limited Starmaster, a striking offset semi-hollow body guitar that blends vintage aesthetics with modern playability. This limited-edition model, slated for release in 2025, draws inspiration from Fender’s diverse history of neck and body shapes, combining elements of the Starcaster and Jazzmaster.
Starmaster
The 2025 Fender Japan Limited Starmaster combines vintage style with modern playability. It has a semi-hollow body, Hybrid II pickups, and a unique headstock design.
It is available in four colors.

Unique Paint Jobs
The Starmaster’s distinctive tiered and colored headstock design is a prominent feature, also echoed in the body’s elbow contour. Each color option is paired with complementary matching headstock and body accents, creating a unique visual appeal.

Hybrid II Custom Voiced
Built with an alder body, the Starmaster boasts Hybrid II Custom Voiced Single Coil pickups and a vintage-style floating tremolo.
The guitar features a gloss-finished, Modern “C” shaped neck with a 9.5-inch radius fingerboard and 22 medium jumbo frets, promising smooth and comfortable playability.
Other features include vintage tuners and a newly designed logo decal.

Made in Japan Limited Starmaster
The Made in Japan Limited Starmaster will be available in four finishes: Antigua, Jupiter Blue, Candy Apple Red, and Black. The guitar is priced at ¥192,500 (tax included).
