Privacy policy

Last updated 22 August 2026

GuitarBomb ("we", "us") publishes guitar and gear news, reviews and deals at guitarbomb.com. This policy explains what data we collect when you visit, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Standard analytics data (pages viewed, referring site, rough location, device type) via privacy-respecting analytics. If you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us, we collect the email address and message details you provide.

Cookies

We don't run advertising on GuitarBomb, so we set no advertising, ad-measurement or cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics are cookieless — they count visits without storing a cookie or building a profile of you. Your dark-mode preference is kept in your browser's own local storage on your device and is never sent to us.

There is one cookie. Our CDN's security firewall may set a single cookie whose name begins bunny_shield_id while it checks that a request is a real visitor rather than an attack. It holds a random value, expires when you close your browser, can't be read by any script on the page, and isn't used to identify you, remember you between visits, or follow you anywhere else. It's there to keep the site up, which is why it doesn't need your consent and why there's no cookie banner to dismiss here.

Clearing your browser storage resets your dark-mode preference; the security cookie clears itself when you close the browser.

Some links on GuitarBomb are affiliate links — if you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This never affects which products we cover or how we review them.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in every email, and request a copy or deletion of any data we hold on you by contacting us.
