Ryan “Fluff” Bruce, the much-loved guitarist and content creator, has joined forces with Sterling by Music Man to release his Artist Series StingRay, a guitar that brings his no-nonsense rock approach to players everywhere. This collaboration introduces a stripped-down, powerful instrument, making high-performance accessible at a market-friendly price of $879.99.
Fluff Signature StingRay
Fluff’s signature StingRay is built for rock-solid stability and an immediate playing experience. There are some great specifications and a choice of two finishes as well.
It features the classic offset double cutaway Nyatoh body, a roasted maple neck, a hardtail bridge, and locking tuners, all contributing to its robust feel.
These guitars are built to be played hard and not let you down.

Seymour Duncan
At its core are Seymour Duncan pickups—a JB Jr. at the neck and a JB Trembucker at the bridge—delivering serious power with a simple control layout of a single volume knob and pickup toggle switch, allowing players to dial in their sound quickly.
Drop C#
True to Fluff’s personal setup, the guitar arrives factory-tuned to Drop C# with Ernie Ball Beefy Slinkys, ready to perform right out of the box.
“Working with Sterling By Music Man on these signature guitars has been surreal. It’s built to reflect how I actually play—simple and effective, with everything I need to create,” Fluff explained.
He emphasized the incredible value this collaboration offers: “What excites me most is that this version makes it accessible for more players to pick up a guitar that feels inspiring right out of the box. I hope it helps someone chase their sound the way I’ve chased mine.”
Finish Options
The Fluff StingRay is available in two custom finishes, Rula Thumb Red (with a rosewood fretboard) and Amana Boat Blue (with a roasted maple fretboard), drawing inspiration from Fluff’s Seattle roots and the classic colorways of the ’90s grunge era.
Price & Availability
Each finish pairs a vibrant color with a combination of chrome and black hardware, striking a balance between elegance and grit.
We love the look and think that having the option of both maple and rosewood fretboards was a good idea.

Guitar Bomb Verdict
This guitar represents a significant value proposition, offering pro-level features and Fluff’s distinct setup without the premium price tag often associated with artist signature models.
We feel Fluff has put a lot of effort into this signature model, and it certainly represents great value for money. If you want a guitar that will play well, stay in tune, and sound great, then this is the type of guitar you should be looking at.
Fluff is a pretty humble guy, but he knows a lot about guitars and, more importantly, playing the guitar, and it shows.
If we had a rating system, then these would be a 10 out of 10.
