Strandberg Guitars and musician Jacob Collier have finally unveiled their much-anticipated signature guitar, the JC 5 Djesse. This innovative guitar features a unique five-string tuning and is set to be released in limited quantities this summer.
Collier’s Signature Tuning Comes to Life
Collier, known for his unconventional and colourful songwriting, has used five-string guitars throughout his career. The JC 5 Djesse features his signature tuning of D A E A D, which Collier believes allows him to “cover more ground with fewer strings to cross.”

A Collaboration of Innovation
The JC 5 Djesse is the result of a collaboration between Strandberg’s renowned ergonomic design and Collier’s musical vision. The guitar boasts a lightweight design for comfortable playing, lively acoustics, and Strandberg’s signature neck-thru construction.

Unique Features
The JC 5 Djesse has a stunning luminous yellow finish, blue Lace Alumitone pickups, and mismatched Tone and Volume controls. It also features Green Luminlay inlays and a roasted maple EndurNeck for durability.

Limited Edition Release
The JC 5 Djesse is a limited edition guitar available in small batches. The first batch will be released later this summer and can be purchased exclusively on the Strandberg Guitars and Jacob Collier websites. A waiting list for registration is currently open.
Pricing information is not yet available.

A First for Collier’s Tuning
This marks the first time Collier’s unique five-string tuning system has been available on a production guitar. While Taylor Guitars previously created a custom acoustic guitar for Collier with a similar tuning, it never went into production. The guitar is also available as a six-string JC 6 Djesse model.
Strandberg Becomes First to Market
Strandberg Guitars is the first company to introduce a guitar featuring Collier’s signature tuning to the general public. This collaboration offers musicians a new way to explore their creativity and push the boundaries of music.
