The new 2025 MT 15 now boasts a Dumble-inspired overdrive channel, directly lifted from the celebrated and versatile PRS MT-100 amplifier.
Upgraded MT 15
This major enhancement transforms the previously two-channel, 15-watt head by overhauling its Lead channel. Featuring a new push/pull control on the Treble knob, the updated MT 15 promises to deliver highly sought-after, boutique amp tones in a compact and portable format.

Engaging the push/pull function removes two gain stages, unlocking a spectrum of vintage and crunchier mid-gain sounds, a sonic territory famously explored by Dumble amplifiers.
Mark Tremonti’s well-known appreciation for both PRS craftsmanship and the legendary Dumble amps makes this collaboration a natural evolution.
It was PRS luminary Paul Reed Smith himself who introduced Tremonti to the magic of Dumble amplifiers after a memorable all-star PRS jam session.
Dumble-esque
While the Lead channel receives this exciting Dumble-esque upgrade, the MT 15 retains its original, highly regarded blueprint.
The Clean channel still offers Bass, Middle, Treble, and Volume controls, along with a push/pull function on the Treble knob to introduce a touch of overdrive.
Lead Channel
The dedicated Lead channel continues to feature Bass, Middle, Treble, and Gain controls, complemented by Presence and a Master volume specifically for the overdrive section.
A convenient Lead/Clean channel toggle switch completes the intuitive front panel.

PRS Archon Classic: A Hot-Rodded Vintage Tone Machine
Alongside the upgraded MT 15, PRS also announced the all-new Archon Classic amplifier. This iteration refines and revoices the gain structure of the original Archon’s lead channel, providing a broader palette of gain tones.
PRS describes the Archon Classic as the ideal amplifier for players seeking classic rock tones with the versatility to push into modern sonic territory.
The Archon Classic retains popular features from its predecessor, including a bright switch, presence control, and depth control.
Joining the Archon Classic is a new 4×12 “mega-sized” cabinet, the second four-speaker cabinet in the lineup, loaded with Celestion V-Type speakers.
PRS Amp Designer Doug Sewell explained, “The Archon Classic is not a re-issue of the original Archon, but a newly voiced circuit with the lead channel excelling in ’70s and ’80s rock tones and a hotter clean channel able to go into breakup. This is the answer for those wanting an Archon with a hotrod vintage lead channel gain structure without changing preamp tube types, and a juiced-up clean channel without having to use a boost pedal, all wrapped up in a retro-inspired cabinet design.”
