In a recent interview with the Lonely Rocker YouTube channel, Charlie Cooper, son of Orange founder Cliff Cooper said, “Others are simply better at digital amp modeling.”

“Everyone else can do it better,” Cooper states in a recent interview. “We’re not going to pretend or try to dabble in digital amplifiers or digital modeling.” Instead, Orange is focusing on refining its analog technology, ensuring that its amps continue to deliver the distinctive tone that has made the brand a favorite among guitarists.

Analog Roots

Cooper’s commitment to analog is rooted in his family’s legacy. His father, Cliff Cooper, has always been wary of labeling Orange as “retro.” Cooper says, “From our perspective, [working with analog is] not even tradition; it’s just what we know.”
