The Last Pedal You’ll Ever Buy? Meet Polyend Endless: The AI-Powered FX Revolution
Discover the Polyend Endless, the world’s first AI-powered, open-source effect pedal. Prompt custom sounds, code your own DSP, or explore a limitless library of stereo effects.

Polyend has officially disrupted the boutique pedal market with the announcement of Endless, a revolutionary, customizable effect pedal that blends high-end hardware with AI-driven sound design. Moving beyond fixed algorithms, the Endless allows musicians to “prompt” their way to new sounds or code their own effects from scratch.

Scheduled for release on February 22, 2026, this $299 device aims to be a future-proof creative platform for guitarists, synth users, and studio engineers alike.

Three Ways to Shape Your Sound

The Polyend Endless is a single box that can be almost anything you want it to be. Users have three distinct pathways to customize their signal chain:

  1. The Library: Access a curated collection of professional-grade effects, including the VHS Lo-Fi emulator, the granular Memory Cloud, and the 65’ Sparkle amp simulator.

  2. Open Source Coding (C++): For the “deep tweakers,” Polyend provides a GitHub SDK. Using the 720 MHz ARM Cortex-M7 core, developers can write custom DSP code, port existing algorithms, or build entirely unique processors.

  3. The Playground (Beta): The most innovative feature—a text-to-effect AI engine. Describe the sound in your head in plain text, and the system generates a ready-to-load file in minutes.

The Playground: AI-Generated DSP

In the online Playground environment, musicians can enter natural-language prompts such as “a dreamy, lo-fi reverb with a bit of grit.” The AI generates, tests, and compiles the code for you. If it’s not perfect, you can suggest tweaks until it’s exactly right.

To maintain reliable performance and cover cloud costs, Polyend uses a token-based system:

  • Initial Tokens: Every new pedal includes $20 in Playground tokens.

  • Cost per Effect: A simple delay might cost $1.00–$2.00, while a complex granular looper could cost up to $5.00.

  • Ownership: Once created, you own the effect. You can keep it private, share it for free, or even sell your custom patches.

Premium Hardware Built for the Board

The Endless is housed in a rugged, machined-aluminum chassis with aluminum knobs designed for stage use. It features a stereo 48 kHz/24-bit audio path and a low-noise analog preamp, ensuring studio-grade fidelity.

Key Hardware Features:

  • Magnetic Swappable Faceplates: A one-of-a-kind system that lets you swap designs or write your own labels. A blank plate is included, with artist designs available for purchase.

  • Smart I/O: Configurable for Mono, Stereo, or Mono-to-Stereo operation. It features two 1/4″ TRS inputs and two 1/4″ TRS outputs.

  • Hidden Controls: Hold the bypass switch to access secondary “shift” functions for the three knobs: Analog Preamp Level, Master Output, and Wet/Dry Mix.

  • Universal Power: Runs on 9–12V DC (center-negative or positive), requiring 200mA+ of current.
