Schecter dropped a visually stunning and sonically aggressive electric guitar: the Ink Bomb C-1. Inspired by the abstract expressionist movement, this unique instrument features a hand-splattered finish that makes each guitar a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
A C-1 Like No Other
Following the recent Schecter dog toy range, a new guitar model has been announced by the masters of metal guitars. The Ink Bomb C-1 retains the core elements of Schecter’s popular C-1 model: a sleek double-cutaway body (mahogany), a 3×3 headstock, and locking tuners.
However, adding the “Ink Bomb” finish elevates this guitar to a new level of individuality. Reminiscent of Jackson Pollock’s iconic drip paintings, the finish is applied by hand, resulting in a unique pattern on every guitar. The matching headstock finish emphasizes this distinctive aesthetic, creating a genuinely eye-catching instrument.
Built for Modern Metal
The Ink Bomb C-1 is equipped with a pair of Seymour Duncan Alt Metal Blackout humbuckers for modern metal. These active pickups are designed for low tunings, delivering powerful and clear tones even when playing in drop C and lower.
The guitar also features a straightforward control layout with a three-way pickup selector and volume and tone controls, allowing players to shape their sound easily.
High-Performance Features
This shred-ready machine boasts a glued-in three-piece maple neck with a comfortable Thin C profile. The ebony fretboard features 24 jumbo frets and a 14″ radius for effortless playability.
Other premium features include a Graph Tech Tusq XL nut, a Tonepros Locking Tune-O-Matic bridge, and a 25.5″ scale length.
Stand Out from the Crowd
The Ink Bomb C-1 is not just about sonic prowess; it’s about making a statement.
In a world of cookie-cutter designs, this guitar dares to be different. Its unique finish and aggressive specifications make it the perfect choice for players who demand visual and sonic individuality. The official list price is $1429, but it is currently slashed down to $999 on the Schecter site, with preorders open now at Schecter dealers.
