The guitar Kirk Hammett famously played in the Metallica One video has just sold at auction for $112,500. This ESP model was used on the MTV favourite video and is seen as many fans as a stone cold classic!
ESP 400 Series S-Type
This ESP 400 Series S-Type has just sold for six figures and since it was such a well known guitar, I honestly think the new owner got a bit of a bargain. The song One from the album …And Justice For All was on heavy rotation with MTV on its release. Which means that many fans will recognise it as being the Kirk Hammett guitar of that era.
The guitar sold on Heritage Auctions site and the lucky winner has just got them self a piece of Metallica history!
