Blackstar Amplification has announced the release of the AIRWIRE i58, a new, affordable wireless system designed for guitar, bass, and other instruments with a standard 1/4″ output. The AIRWIRE i58 promises low-latency, high-resolution audio, giving musicians the freedom to move on stage without sacrificing tone.
AIRWIRE i58
Operating in the less congested 5.8GHz frequency band, the AIRWIRE i58 aims to minimize interference from Wi-Fi and other wireless devices. Blackstar claims the system delivers a near-cable experience with very low latency, ensuring a responsive feel for players.

CABLE TONE
The compact and unobtrusive design of the AIRWIRE i58 won’t hinder performance. Up to four units can be used simultaneously without interference, making it a viable option for bands.
A “CABLE TONE” switch allows players to emulate the sonic characteristics of a traditional cable, while the system also boasts a high-quality signal transmission that eliminates treble loss often associated with long cable runs.

Up to 9 Hours Playing Time
Battery life is a key feature, with a single charge providing up to nine hours of playing time. The receiver also includes an automatic shut-off feature after 10 minutes of inactivity to conserve power. The AIRWIRE i58 offers a range of 35 meters (approximately 115 feet), giving musicians ample room to roam on stage.
While the AIRWIRE i58 offers a compelling package for many musicians, its limitation of four simultaneous units might not meet the demands of larger ensembles or professional touring rigs.
However, its ease of use, compact form factor, and attractive price point make it a strong contender for casual players and gigging musicians seeking a reliable and affordable wireless solution.

The Blackstar AIRWIRE i58 is available now at a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of £149 / €179 / $169.99.
