Dean Zelinsky founded the company in Chicago in 1976 with oversized headstocks and the ML, V and Z shapes, and the association with Dimebag Darrell made those designs permanent fixtures of metal iconography. The range now spans budget instruments to USA custom builds. Dean appears in our archive on new model launches and in features on the instruments behind particular players' sounds.
