Revv Amplification
Revv Amplification builds in Winnipeg, Canada, and made its name on tight, modern high-gain — the Generator series amps and the colour-coded G-series preamp pedals that put those channels on a pedalboard. The purple G4 and red G3 have become common sights on boards that need amp-like saturation from a small box. We have covered the Dynamis D20 MK2, the G25 and the Revvision cabinet.

Revv Amplification FAQ4 questions
Where is Revv Amplification from?
Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The company says it was founded there in 2014 by two friends inspired by great guitar tone, and that what began as a prototype in a basement turned into a business when local musicians who heard it started asking for their own.
What are Revv's G3 and G4 pedals?
Pedal versions of individual channels from Revv's amplifiers — the G3 is the purple channel and the G4 the red, its highest-gain voice. Both include Two Notes cabinet simulation on a separate output, so they work as a direct recording tool as well as a drive pedal.
Do Revv amps work without a cabinet?
Several are designed to. Revv builds Two Notes technology into amps and pedals specifically to give a usable direct sound with no cabinet in the room, which the company describes as a deliberate expansion from its original high-gain amplifier focus.
What was Revv's original aim?
By its own account, creating a best-of-all-worlds high-gain sound the founders could not get from off-the-shelf amplifiers. The pedal line, the direct-recording features and the artist-signature gear all came afterwards, built on feedback from players and engineers.
