Strandberg's Boden Metal Series: A Modern Metal Masterpiece
Strandberg Boden Metal Series returns with powerful new headless guitars designed for metal players who like modern playability and features.
Read the guide →Ola Strandberg, a mechanical engineer, spent years fixing guitars at a music shop as a teenager and getting sore shoulders and numb fingers from long rehearsals — problems he set out to actually solve rather than just live with. He began developing what he called the Ergonomic Guitar System in 2007, and the Boden, the headless guitar that came out of it, launched the company he founded in Uppsala, Sweden, in 2012. The headless design, contoured neck profile and proprietary hardware were built around comfort first, but the look ended up defining a whole strand of modern progressive and technical metal guitar. Players including Plini and Jacob Collier have taken up Strandberg models since. New Boden releases and signature collaborations are what we cover most. Here's what we've written.
