Martin Kidd built his reputation as an amp designer at Cornford Amplification before starting Victory in England in 2013, carrying over the same hand-wired approach to some models while building others around modern PCB construction and custom-wound transformers. The company's compact "lunchbox" heads, small enough to carry in one hand but built around real valve circuits rather than solid-state shortcuts, became its signature format and earned Victory a reputation as one of the leading boutique British amp builders within a few years of launch. Victory's range now runs from those compact heads through full-size stage amps and a line of preamp pedals. New amp launches and artist signature models are what we cover most. Here's what we've written.
