Strandberg Guitars, a leader in ergonomic and innovative instrument design, has just unveiled a breathtaking new “Deep Blue” finish for two of its most popular models: the Boden Prog NX6 and Boden Prog NX7. The new Deep Blue finish immediately commands attention, providing a vibrant and sophisticated aesthetic that perfectly complements the unique, modern lines of the headless Boden design. This striking color choice is expected to be a major draw for players seeking an instrument that stands out on stage and in the studio.

Return of Roasted Maple & Smooth Ebonol Fretboards

Underneath the stunning finish, Strandberg has made a welcome return to Roasted Maple necks for these models.

Reinforced with carbon fiberfor unparalleled stability, roasted maple offers significant benefits in terms of neck integrity and resistance to environmental changes. Visually, its rich, caramel hues provide a beautiful contrast to the Deep Blue body.

The bolt-on neck design incorporates Strandberg’s innovative NX sculpted neck joint heel, ensuring effortless access to the upper frets.

Adding to the smooth playability, both models feature a jet-black Ebonol fretboard. This highly consistent and exceptionally smooth material provides an excellent, aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional ebony, making for a fast and comfortable playing experience.

The fretboards are fitted with 24 Jescar 51100 stainless steel frets on a super-flat 20″ radius, guaranteeing precise intonation and effortless string bending.

Lightweight Chambered Construction & Premium Wood Selection

The Boden Prog NX6 and NX7 boast an expertly crafted chambered swamp ash body, contributing to their remarkably light weight of approximately 2.3kg (5 lbs) with a +/- 10% variance.

This chambering enhances resonance while significantly reducing player fatigue during long performances.

A solid maple top with a beautiful flame maple veneer is meticulously finished in the Deep Blue satin acrylic, showcasing the wood’s natural grain beneath the captivating hue.

Tailored Tones: Suhr & Fishman Pickups

Hardware on both models is sleek black anodised, including the reliable EGS Rev7B tremolo bridge with a convenient pop-in tremolo arm and secure string locks.

The Boden Prog NX6 Deep Blue is equipped with a powerful yet versatile set of Suhr humbuckers: an SSH+ Bridge humbucker for aggressive, cutting tones and an SSV Neck humbucker for warm, articulate cleans.

These are controlled by a master volume and tone, along with a 5-way pickup selector switch for a wide range of sonic options.

For the Boden Prog NX7 Deep Blue, Strandberg has opted for the acclaimed Fishman Fluence Modern Ceramic (bridge) and Fishman Fluence Modern Alnico (neck) humbuckers, featuring elegant brushed stainless steel covers.

This seven-string powerhouse offers enhanced sonic flexibility with a Master Volume (push/pull for coil-split) and a Master Tone (push/pull for voice select), complemented by a 3-way pickup selector switch.

Both the Boden Prog NX6 Deep Blue and NX7 Deep Blue models ship with a Venture gig-bag, ensuring protection and portability for musicians on the go.

The introduction of the Deep Blue finish revitalizes these already popular models, cementing their status as top-tier instruments for modern guitarists seeking innovative design, superior playability, and inspiring aesthetics.
