The Machine Gun Kelly Razor Blade by Schecter is possibly the most ridiculous-looking guitar of 2024. It features some nice hardware and pickups, but it will almost certainly divide opinion.
Machine Gun Kelly Razor Blade
This Machine Gun Kelly signature model comes fitted with a Schecter USA Pasadena Plus bridge pickup and a Master Volume, plus Killswitch controls.
Basswood
It has a basswood body shaped like a razor blade. This is paired with a bolt-on three-piece maple neck that is reinforced with carbon fiber rods and has an ebony fretboard that has a 14″ radius. Which is fairly flat and probably good for riffing with.
Silver Machine
The Slim C profile neck has a XX inlay at the 12th Fret, plus a set of glow-in-the-dark Luminlay side dots, and a set of 22 Xtra Jumbo frets. Along with a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut and a Hipshot hardtail bridge, plus a set of locking tuners. Therefore, tuning should be rock solid on this oddball-looking guitar.
It comes in a Metallic Silver finish with matching chrome hardware, therefore it certainly looks the part.
The Worst Guitar of 2024?
Maybe, it is not the worst guitar of 2024, but it is certainly the dumbest looking one of the year so far. It might well appeal to 13-year-old kids though, or fans of comic rock. But for us, it just looks plain gimmicky and not very viable as a day-to-day instrument.
Though we still think it is a million times better than the Worst Guitar of 2023.
