MXR is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its iconic Phase 90 pedal with a limited-edition gold release. This special edition boasts the same classic sound revered by guitar legends like Eddie Van Halen and David Gilmour, but with a dazzling new aesthetic.
MXR Phase 90 Gold Pedal
“It was too good to keep to ourselves,” stated MXR, acknowledging a previous gold-plated release exclusively for industry insiders in 2022. This time, the coveted Phase 90 will be available to the public in limited quantities.
It follows on the heels of last week’s EHX Golden Small Stone, another limited-run ’70s style phaser effect.

50th Anniversary
The 50th Anniversary Phase 90 retains the simplicity of its predecessor, featuring a single Speed knob for effortless control over its signature swirling sounds. This compact and user-friendly pedal remains a staple for guitarists across various genres, from rock and blues to experimental and beyond.

Availability & Price
Available from March 18th for $200, this golden edition is sure to be a highly sought-after collectible. Given the limited production run, guitarists are encouraged to act quickly to secure their piece of Phase 90 history.
MXR Phase 90 Variations
There are currently a few versions of the MXR Phase 90 available, and each one does that classic 1970s phasing effect.
