Zakk Wylde, Black Label Society guitarist and founder of Wylde Audio, delivers another aggressive axe with the new Goregehn guitar. This offset design boasts premium specs, unique finishes, and the classic EMG tone metalheads crave.
Wylde Audio Goregehn
Wylde Audio is part of Schecter Guitars, known for its artist signature models, like those designed for Avenged Sevenfold’s Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeance.
Offset Guitar
Wylde Audio’s Goregehn features a striking, offset mahogany body sculpted with devil horn cutaways for ultimate high-fret access. The deep-set, three-piece maple neck sports an ebony fretboard, Zakk Wylde’s signature C-profile, 22 X-jumbo frets, and fierce rune inlays.
EMG 81/85
The iconic EMG 81/85 humbucker combo offers raw power, easily controlled with dedicated volume knobs and a master tone. A TonePros T3BP Tune-O-Matic bridge, a T1ZS tailpiece, and Grover tuners deliver rock-solid tuning stability.
Guitarists can choose from three head-turning finishes: Cocobolo Psychic Bullseye, Rawtop Buzzsaw, and the limited edition Blood River Burl with striking gold hardware.
Pricing
Designed for demanding guitarists, the Goregehn offers premium construction and eye-catching looks at an accessible price point. The Cocobolo Psychic Bullseye and Rawtop Buzzsaw models retail for $2,429, while the Blood River Burl Special Edition commands $2,719.
Guitar Bomb Verdict
In terms of specifications, these guitars are great. However, they will have a minimal audience as they are so outlandish.
That offset body shape and those deep cutaways could make for a very comfortable guitar. We haven’t had a chance to try one out, so it is hard to give an informed opinion. We think they could be a lot of fun to play. Especially if you like high-gain amps and lightning-fast squealing pinched harmonic pentatonic runs.
