The Boss Waza Craft TB-2W Tone Bender is being sold for huge price mark ups on auction sites like Reverb.com and Boss president Yoshi Ikegami is not impressed.
Pedal Scalpers!
The Boss president Yoshi Ikegami has voiced his dismay at the hugely inflated four-figure price tags, saying, “We don’t make pedals for such scalpers”

The original run of 3000 Boss Waza Craft TB-2W Tone Bender pedals, sold out almost instantly. The joint venture between Boss and Sola Sound, was always going to be popular.
When asked on an online Facebook group for the upcoming Boss Waza Craft HM-2W pedal.
“What do you think about scalpers making thousands of dollars off the limited run of tone benders?” asked the group member. “Very unfortunate.”
“I’m so much disappointed,” he commented. “It’s totally BS. We don’t make pedals for such scalpers.”

Spoiling it for everyone?
Hopefully, Boss will release more and put an end to this scalping on auction sites.
So is the trend to buying limited edition pedals up, and then flipping them for massive amounts of profit nothing but pure greed?
Or is flipping limited edition stompboxes for profit justified?

I think it is really disappointing. I would love to buy one of these pedals and if even fish out the $350-$400 that Boss was asking for it but I will never give some scumbag on eBay $2000 for a $400 pedal. What’s the point in releasing limited edition pedals anyways? If 100,000 guitar players want to buy the pedal, make 100,000 of them. If I were the boss of Boss I’d make 105,000. I have to assume Boss will release more eventually and I can be patient.
