Epiphone Sparkle Exclusive models – More models announced

Epiphone Sparkle Exclusive models - More models are announced
US dealer Zzounds has announced even more Sparkle models, including SG, Explorer, Les Paul Standard 60s, and Thunderbird '64 bass models.

Earlier this week, we wrote about the new Epiphone Sparkle Exclusive Flying V models that had just been announced. US dealer Zzounds has announced even more Sparkle models, including SG, Explorer, Les Paul Standard 60s, and Thunderbird ’64 bass models.

Epiphone Sparkle Exclusive

Zzounds has just announced they have a whole range of Epiphone Sparkle Exclusive models coming into stock and have released a video to accompany this sparkling set of releases.

The range includes Flying V, SG, Explorer, Les Paul Standard 60s, and Thunderbird ’64 bass models.

Finish Options

They are available in Purple Sparkle, Gold Sparkle, Silver Sparkle, Blue Sparkle, and Citrus Sparkle finishes.

ProBucker

Each model has a pair of Epiphone ProBucker pickups, a mahogany body and neck, an Indian laurel fretboard, and Epiphone’s proprietary lock-in hardware. Subtle but nice upgrades include Graph Tech NuBone nuts, era-appropriate wiring, and CTS potentiometers.

Pricing & Availability

Each model retails for $649, except the Thunderbird ’64 bass, which costs $849 (and includes a gig bag in the price). Most are in stock now; a couple can be preordered via the Zzounds site.

Guitar Bomb Verdict

Hopefully, we may see more Epiphone Sparkle finish models from other dealers, and maybe some of them will also make it outside of the USA. The price points on all these models are excellent, and the colour schemes certainly offer something different, rather than the same old solid finishes and variations on burst finishes.

Overall, it is an excellent set of releases, and we think it will be popular with guitarists everywhere.
