Behringer Unleashes BM-11M Low Pass Filter: A New Moogerfooger Clone for the Masses
Explore the new Behringer BM-11M Low Pass Filter, a budget-friendly and authentic clone of the iconic Moog MF-101 Moogerfooger.

Behringer has just unveiled the BM-11M Low Pass Filter, the latest addition to their highly anticipated series of Moogerfooger clones. This new pedal is an affordable and authentic replica of the legendary Moog MF-101 Lowpass Filter, a staple of electronic music production since its release in the 1990s.

The Moog Moogerfooger effects pedals have long been sought after by musicians and producers for their distinctive analog sound and robust design. However, with the series discontinued, original units have become increasingly expensive and difficult to find. Behringer’s new line of clones aims to make these iconic effects accessible to a new generation of creators.

A Growing Family of Clones

The BM-11M is the fourth Moogerfooger-inspired pedal to be released by Behringer this year, following the successful launches of the BM-12 Ring Modulator, BM-15M-MURF-BOX, and BM-13 Phaser. The company, led by founder Uli Behringer, has been diligently working on these replicas, first teasing the series back in 2023.

Originally teased back in 2023, and known as the BM-101 Low Pass Filter, the newly named BM-11M is based on the original Moog MF-101 Lowpass Filter from 1998.

Behringer is also expected to release clones of the Analog Delay and Frequency Box later this year.

The Power of Analog Filtering

The BM-11M Low Pass Filter is a true analog filter, providing the rich, warm tones that defined the original. It features a switchable 2-pole and 4-pole low-pass filter, along with dedicated controls for cutoff and resonance. A drive control allows users to adjust the input gain, adding subtle to extreme saturation.

The pedal also includes a powerful envelope follower with a smooth/fast switch. This feature allows the envelope to modulate the filter cutoff, creating dynamic and expressive filtering effects.

Users can dial in the perfect sound using dedicated knobs for amount and mix.

Modern Connectivity and Control

While staying true to the original’s analog core, the BM-11M incorporates modern connectivity for seamless integration into any setup. It offers both USB-C and MIDI control, making it compatible with a wide range of hardware and software.

Connectivity

For real-time performance, the pedal features expression pedal inputs for controlling the Amount, Cutoff, Mix, and Resonance parameters. It also includes standard audio input/output jacks and an Envelope Out for further routing possibilities. The pedal is designed for live use with a sturdy footswitch and three status LEDs for clear visual feedback.

With the release of the BM-11M Low Pass Filter, Behringer continues its mission to provide affordable, high-quality gear inspired by legendary classics.

Whether you’re a guitarist, a synth enthusiast, or a studio producer, this pedal offers an inexpensive way to add authentic analog filtering to your creative arsenal.
