“2025 kicks off with a wonderful Symphony”
This cryptic message accompanied a single image on the Behringer Facebook page, and the guitar world is buzzing with speculation. The photo shows a recreation of the iconic Boss CE-1 Chorus pedal, further fueling rumors that Behringer is about to unleash its own version.
Behringer Chorus Symphony
While the company is notorious for its “homages” to classic gear, details remain scarce. Will the Behringer Chorus Symphony (Ensemble) faithfully replicate the CE-1’s circuitry?
Or will it offer modern twists and improvements?
Guitar Bomb recently reviewed the new Behringer Fuzz Bender pedal, and we thought it offered great value for money. Could this new Behringer Chorus Symphony be one to check out in 2025?
Is the Behringer Chorus Symphony a CE-1?
The original CE-1, though a landmark in effects history, has its detractors. Some players found its chorus/vibrato effect somewhat subtle and lacking the character of later BOSS models like the CE-2. However, the CE-1’s stereo capabilities could make this recreation a compelling option for specific applications.
You may remember the Behringer Chorus Ensemble teased in 2022 via the official Behringer Facebook page. It never had an official release, so could this finally be that pedal, just with a new name?
Could we see this new pedal at NAMM?
After a decade-long absence, Behringer is set to return to the NAMM show in 2025, so we could see this new pedal officially revealed during the event.
Stay tuned for further developments. Behringer rarely disappoints when it comes to generating excitement, and this latest tease is no exception.
