The original run sold out instantly. Now, Castle Rat's mastermind is bringing back her striking limited-edition Minotaur for a second run—but only four are being made.

When Dunable Guitars first announced their collaboration with Castle Rat’s vocalist and guitarist, Riley Pinkerton, the original batch vanished instantly. Fans of the band's signature doom-laden, fantasy-rich heavy metal were quick to snap up the instrument designed to Pinkerton's exact live performance needs. Now, Dunable has officially relisted the highly coveted guitar as a limited pre-order.

With only four guitars available in this production wave and a four-week lead time, players will need to act fast to grab one before they become folklore.

Designed for Heavy Riffing

“The Summoner” is built from the ground up for the specific, crushing sound Castle Rat is known for. The guitar is stripped down to the absolute essentials required for heavy riffing in a live setting, meaning there is no neck pickup to get in the way.

Instead, the guitar relies on a single, aggressive Dunable Direwolf bridge pickup controlled by a master volume knob. In a brilliant utilitarian twist, the traditional pickup selector switch has been rewired to function as an instant on/off killswitch for dramatic stutters and tight silences between riffs.

The playability is equally focused. Featuring a 24.75" scale length, the guitar allows for incredibly fast fretwork and easier string bending.

A Psychedelic Lightning Storm

Visually, "The Summoner" is a masterclass in stage presence. It features a striking white/gold colorshift satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish that reacts beautifully to stage lighting.

A custom gold crackle over a golden holofoil pickguard perfectly offsets this. Dunable says the combination is meant to evoke the feeling of a "psychedelic lightning storm"—a perfect visual representation of Castle Rat’s sonic landscape.
