Mad Professor Amplification has announced the Milestone, a brand new, handmade germanium fuzz pedal that reimagines classic tones for modern players. Inspired by the saturated sounds of vintage mixing consoles, the Milestone brings early fuzz character to contemporary pedalboards.
The first batch of this highly anticipated release sold out quickly. Preorders for the second batch are currently open, with shipping scheduled to begin on November 2nd.

The Milestone is engineered to solve a common problem with traditional germanium fuzzes: where to place them on a pedalboard.

Our Thoughts
I'm already a big fan of germanium fuzz pedals, and having one that can be placed anywhere in a pedal setup really opens up its use compared to vintage units, which are fussy and have to be first in the chain.
I like that they say it will also work well with bass, which suggests it should play nicely with extended-range and baritone guitars, etc.
Plus, the two-band EQ makes this fuzz more flexible for sculpting the tone. Yes, it is premium, and the price reflects this, but with fuzz pedals, you often get what you pay for. Premium selected components and hand-built pedals cost a bit extra compared to mass-produced, flow-soldered PCBs made in the thousands.
It sounds great in these video demos, and so I'm going to stick my neck out and give it a high rating. One for fuzz pedal aficionados.
