This massive, free update completely bridges the gap between Neural DSP's acclaimed software and their flagship hardware. It brings the highly anticipated Archetype: John Mayer X—along with every other currently available X-updated plugin—directly to the Quad Cortex and Quad Cortex mini. The headline feature of CorOS 4.1.0 is expanded Plugin Compatibility. If you own any of the latest Archetype X-Series VSTs, you can now unlock them on your Quad Cortex hardware for free, seamlessly blending them with native CorOS devices and Neural Captures.

This update adds compatibility for five major plugins, instantly granting users access to over 70 additional amps, cabinets, and effects:

Workflow Update: Device Presets

Historically, dialing in hardware meant saving an entire rig layout. CorOS 4.1.0 introduces Device Presets, arguably one of the most significant workflow enhancements ever added to the platform.

Instead of saving full rigs, musicians can now save and instantly recall the specific settings of individual Virtual Devices—including amps, cabinets, drive pedals, and utility blocks. To help you hit the ground running, Neural DSP has packed the update with over 2,000 Factory Device Presets right out of the box, drastically speeding up the sound design process.

Cortex Control 4.1.0 introduces Multiple Device Management, allowing musicians to connect and manage multiple Quad Cortex and QC mini units simultaneously from a single computer. Users can switch between hardware, assign custom names, and manage rigs without ever swapping a USB cable.

Additional platform upgrades include:

• Dual Footswitch Assignments: Assign secondary functions independently from bypass controls, unlocking new performance capabilities in Stomp Mode.
• Enhanced Preset Management: Manage Device Presets, I/O Settings Presets, and Global EQ Presets directly within Cortex Control.
