Honoring the unmatched legacy of the legendary Soda Stereo frontman, this meticulously crafted instrument is the first major exclusive release tied to the newly opened Gibson Garage Miami.
A Murphy Lab Masterpiece
Strictly limited to a run of just 60 guitars worldwide, this tribute model faithfully recreates Cerati’s beloved 1965 ES-335. Diligently aged by Gibson’s elite Murphy Lab to reflect the original character of his heavily played instrument, the guitar features:
- A classic 60s Cherry finish
- Distinctive factory double pickguards
- A B7 Bigsby vibrato tailpiece

The History Behind the Tone
Cerati purchased his original customized ES-335TD at Rudy’s Music in New York in the mid-1990s. Its unique visual quirks—namely the second pickguard, Bigsby, and a leather back pad—became inseparable from his artistic identity.
The guitar anchored some of the most pivotal live performances in Latin music history. It was featured heavily during Soda Stereo’s historic 1996 MTV Unplugged set, the 1997 El Último Concierto farewell tour, and the monumental 2007 Me Verás Volver reunion tour, as well as Cerati's globally broadcast Live Earth performance alongside Shakira.
