Warm Audio Launches Compact Mod Series Pedals
Warm Audio launches compact Mod Series pedals: Centavo Mod ($189), WA-C1 Mod ($199), and limited-edition Black Keys Peach Fuzz ($199).

The eternal struggle for pedalboard real estate just got a major reprieve. Warm Audio has officially unveiled the Mod Series, a highly anticipated lineup that takes some of their most celebrated vintage pedal recreations and shrinks them into sleeker, pedalboard-friendly enclosures.
These new units feature space-saving, top-mounted jacks, and select models also include smart, modern workflow upgrades. Launching this new range are the Centavo Mod, the WA-C1 Mod, and a special limited-edition collaboration with Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys: The Black Keys Peach Fuzz.
Here is a detailed look at the specifications and new features of each pedal in the Mod Series lineup.
Centavo Mod: High-Headroom Professional Overdrive
Price: $189
True to the legendary golden overdrive circuit it recreates, the Centavo Mod delivers the same premium components as the full-sized Centavo, now in a slimmer enclosure with top-mounted jacks for seamless board integration.

Whether you want a transparent clean boost, edge-of-breakup grit, or a hard-clipping drive to push an already-cooking tube amp in a complex gain-stacking setup, the Centavo Mod delivers.
I own the full-sized version and have owned two original Klon Centaurs Overdrives (both sound slightly different), and I find the Warm Audio take on this circuit very good, especially with that extra MOD mode, which adds more low end.
Key Features & Specifications:
- Vintage-Accurate Circuitry: Carefully selected components, including the crucial TL072 op amps and premium diodes, to preserve the signature clean boost and throat-grabbing overdrive of the original.
- Classic Controls: Retains the familiar, highly responsive Gain, Treble, and Output knob configuration.
- MOD Switch: Carried over from Warm Audio’s original recreation, this switch extends the low-end response, providing a fuller, thicker character on the lower strings.
- Form Factor: Compact footprint with top-mounted jacks to maximize pedalboard space.

WA-C1 Mod: Stereo Chorus & Vibrato With Preamp Bypass
Price: $199
The WA-C1 Mod preserves the lush, three-dimensional, all-analog character of Warm Audio’s celebrated Boss CE-1 style recreation, the WA-C1. It delivers the same iconic bucket-brigade device (BBD) chorus and vibrato tones, but now fits comfortably on a crowded board thanks to its streamlined design and top-mounted jacks.

Crucially for modern rig builders, this version introduces a highly requested feature: the ability to bypass the analog preamp. This gives you full control over gain staging when placing the pedal in complex, multi-pedal signal chains.
The original Boss CE-1 is a real pain to dial in on a guitar, but the preamp is well worth the effort. They are also mains-powered, and I've owned both the original Boss 110 and 240-volt versions myself. They're often noisy, bulky, and awkward to use on modern pedalboard setups, as they are so large.
This modern small-format recreation is a lot more pedalboard-friendly, without the hassle of a vintage unit.
Key Features & Specifications:
- 100% Analog BBD Core: Delivers the unmistakable rich, swirling chorus and vibrato of the legendary vintage circuit.
- New Preamp Bypass Switch: Allows users to bypass the pedal's built-in analog preamp entirely, ensuring pristine gain staging without unwanted coloration when stacked with other drives.
- Independent Modulation Controls: Dedicated rate and depth controls for both the chorus and vibrato sections.
- Stereo Outputs: Wet/dry stereo outputs make this a perfect fit for expansive, wide-panned stereo amp and delay rigs.
- Selectable Impedance: Hi-Z switch to perfectly match your instrument's output.

The Black Keys Peach Fuzz: Octave Fuzz FX
Price: $199
Developed in close collaboration with guitarist Dan Auerbach, the limited-edition Peach Fuzz takes Warm Audio’s Foxy Tone Box—a vintage-inspired '70s octave fuzz—and gives it a vibrant new aesthetic and functional upgrades.

Designed to celebrate The Black Keys’ 2026 album release, Peaches!, this pedal is wrapped in a thick, eye-catching peach-colored flocked velvet. Sonically, it covers massive ground, moving effortlessly from a mellow, gritty crunch to completely saturated, searing octave-up solo magic.
For me, the footswitchable octave-up is what the original was seriously lacking in terms of features, so this run is a winner.
I also love octave fuzz pedals, so I'll be checking this one out now that it has that new feature.
Key Features & Specifications:
- Dan Auerbach Collaboration: Limited-edition release celebrating the new album, Peaches!, featuring a custom peach-colored flocked velvet enclosure.
- Vintage '70s Fuzz Circuit: Identical vintage-inspired fuzz and octave circuit to the Foxy Tone Box, offering massive, saturated lead tones.
- New Octave-Up Switch: A brand-new selectable momentary/latching switch makes it incredibly easy to kick in the octave effect for specific riffs, quick solos, or dynamic studio tracking moments.
- Compact Footprint: Radically slimmed down from the original oversized vintage wedge shape, complete with top-mounted jacks.

5-Year Warranty
Like all Warm Audio gear, the Mod Series pedals are meticulously hand-tested and inspected by trained technicians in Austin, Texas, and come backed by a 5-year warranty.
