Old Blood Noise Endeavors has launched the Black Fountain Stereo, a significant evolution of their revered Black Fountain pedal. Building upon the original’s distinctive oil-can delay emulation, the new stereo version transforms the effect into a versatile sonic tool, offering expanded features and enhanced control.
Black Fountain Stereo
The Black Fountain Stereo retains the warm, modulated, and subtly gritty character of the original, a tone celebrated for its ability to produce rich chorusing, doubling, classic slap-back, and expansive rhythmic delays.

Stereo
However, this iteration introduces true stereo capabilities, allowing for a more expansive, immersive soundscape.
Beyond simply converting mono to stereo, the pedal incorporates dual delay lines that can be manipulated in numerous configurations, unlocking a vast array of creative delay tones.
Oil-Can Delay
Enhanced control is a core feature of the delay. Users can now finely tune modulation with dedicated Rate and Depth knobs, shape the tonal warmth and grit of the repeats, and precisely adjust the left and right delay times, each with selectable subdivisions.
The pedal also offers independent Wet and Dry volume controls, as well as a Space knob that dictates mono delay mode or stereo width, adding diffusion beyond the noon position.
MIDI
The pedal includes onboard presets and complete MIDI control over all parameters for seamless performance and creative flexibility.
This allows musicians to recall their favorite settings instantly and integrate the pedal into complex rigs. Furthermore, expression pedal compatibility grants real-time parameter manipulation.
Tap Tempo
The pedal’s tap tempo functionality allows for precise tempo matching. The tap footswitch also serves as a preset selector and enables infinite feedback when held down. Users can choose between buffered trails or true bypass modes, catering to different sonic preferences.
Technically, the pedal features stereo input and output with mono or mono-in-stereo-out routing options, an analog dry-through, and MIDI clock I/O for external tempo syncing.
It operates on a 9V DC power supply and is hand-made in Oklahoma, USA. It boasts top-mounted jacks and soft-touch switching.
The pedal is available in Cream, Terracotta, and Slate.
Old Blood Noise Endeavors has once again delivered a pedal that blends unique sonic character with practical functionality, making this new pedal a compelling addition to any musician’s pedalboard.
