Donald Trump Guitars? Yes, an exclusive “American Eagle” guitar series was announced yesterday. Are these guitars a symbol of patriotism or rock and roll? Maybe both?
UPDATE 2 December
Trump Guitars has recently updated its models and website in response to a cease-and-desist order from Gibson. The company specializes in Donald Trump—and MAGA-themed instruments, some priced in the five-figure range. Its site features images of Trump endorsing the guitars. It also claims to be “veteran-owned.”
Gibson raised concerns about the brand’s American Eagle and Presidential series models, arguing that they violated its trademarks and the Les Paul design.
In response, Trump Guitars has unveiled new images of its Presidential series, which exhibit slight design modifications. Some guitars from the American Eagle range appear to be “sold out,” prompting a large banner to cover these designs completely. A photograph that previously depicted Trump signing the electric version of the American Eagle has been altered to show a close-up of the acoustic model instead.
Additionally, the website now includes a disclaimer stating:
“GetTrumpGuitars.com is not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected with Gibson Brands Inc. or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates, nor does it represent itself as a dealer, manufacturer, or distributor of Gibson, Les Paul Standard, Les Paul Custom, or any of their products.”
The remaining electric models feature mahogany bodies and necks, a rosewood fretboard with a MAGA inlay, and are equipped with “Maga 45 Trumpbuckers.” Many of these models are available in limited quantities.
UPDATE 25 November
Gibson has now issued a cease and desist order to Trump Guitars owner 16 Creative, accusing it of infringing upon its trademarks. In a new statement shared with Guitar World, Gibson writes: “We can confirm a cease and desist has been issued against 16 Creative as the design infringes upon Gibson’s exclusive trademarks, particularly the iconic Les Paul body shape.”
Donald Trump Guitars
We thought Hello Kitty guitars announced recently were a bit eccentric (and very pink), but now news has broken about a Donald Trump American Eagle guitar series being launched!
Featuring the iconic “Make America Great Again” slogan in authentic pearl on the neck and the number “45” on the headstock, these guitars commemorate Trump’s 45th presidency. Adorned with images of the American flag and a bald eagle, these instruments are a true homage to American pride.

We cannot find any official information about who is building these guitars apart from a vague statement on the site. We are also not sure if the President-Elect plays the guitar.
The official statement on the site states the following.
Who is the manufacturer of these guitars?
All of the guitars featured on GetTrumpGuitars.com were custom designed and developed by a Veteran owned company with the help of a master luthier. These guitars have been manufactured by multiple providers and include parts/features that are both domestic and international. This is standard with most guitar manufacturers.
$10k Autographed
For collectors seeking a personalized touch, select guitars autographed by Trump are available for $10,000. Only 275 pieces are offered.
Non-autographed guitars are priced between $1,250 and $1,500, with a limited run of 1,000 each. All “American Eagle” guitars will arrive by Christmas, making them perfect for gifting to music or history enthusiasts.
Presidential Series
The series also includes the “Presidential Series” guitars in bold red, yellow, or black, featuring the Trump name. Priced at around $2,000, these guitars can be delivered in up to six months.
Guitar Bomb Verdict
Whatever your views on politics, these guitars are intriguing and could, in the future, become sought after by collectors of American history and limited run guitars.
However, we don’t know much about the builds or who actually makes them, so it is hard to form an informed opinion about these instruments.

Where are these guitars made?
We would guess from the images, somewhere like China. But they have not officially stated where they are from, so that is just an educated guess.
Knowing how DJT really is, I have no doubt these guitars are made in USA.
If any WUSSY SNOWFLAKE libTURDS think otherwise, PROVE ME WRONG, I KNOW YOU CAN’T!!
We are sure Donald J Trump will be transparent and let us know where he has his merchandise manufactured.Once he shares that information with the world, then we shall update the information for you.
The tuners are definitely lower-level Chinese-made, according to the escutcheon washers. The pickup surrounds look like cheaper plastic, as well. The bindings say this guitar is made by the Chinese factory that makes the Keith Urban guitars, who know enough about Americans, to make things pretty enough to sell.
Without the graphic and sales pitch, these guitars would wholesale around $250-$350 tops… and that is being EXTREMELY generous. But I heartily support relieving the target audience of their SSI checks, so buy-buy-buy!
On the site they list the LP style guitars for $1,500. Any solid body guitars under $2000 are surely made in Korea or China. I challenge you to find a solid body guitar made in the US for under $2000. It’s getting hard to find a $1,500 guitar made in Japan. The lowest priced Heritage guitars which are made in the US list at $2499.
Knowing how DJT really is, I have no doubt these guitars are made in CHINA.
If any WUSSY SNOWFLAKE MAGAs think otherwise, PROVE ME WRONG, I KNOW YOU CAN’T!!
If these guitars were made in the USA then the “turd” would promote that fact. They aren’t, I suspect made in China so will be subject to his tariffs. Prove to me they are made in USA and I’ll buy one.

Not real bright are you?
Not many non-Trump, non-Maga people would fall for this. PROVE ME WRONG.
Prove to me they are USA made .. you know you can’t so you have NOTHING say and only your ignorance to show
There are a lot of other non-Gibson LP style guitars out there, e.g., Heritage, Eastman, so I don’t see why Gibson is fussing over this one. I thought their concerns were mainly around headstock shape and the Trump LP is clearly different in this regard.
We would guess it is the high-profile nature of these American Eagle Series guitars and the possibility that they are potentially import guitars (though that has not been proven either way yet) which are being associated with American patriotism. Gibson owns a lot of trademarks which they have to be seen to enforce, or they could,, in theory, lose those trademarks. Therefore, this may be something they are required to do to maintain those legal rights, as they have to be seen to protect their business interests.
Those manufactures have to pay a fee to Gibson. Dean Guitars are not and is currently in litigation with Gibson for trademark infringement.
The interesting thing is today’s guitar even entry level, are a better guitar due to Cad, precise manufacturing, etc than most of the expensive models years ago.
There are exceptions in the much higher end >5000.00+
