BOSS has announced the release of the updated KATANA:GO, a compact headphone amplifier that packs the renowned tones of the Katana stage amplifier series into a portable device. Designed for guitar and bass players of all levels, the KATANA:GO offers a rich 3D playing experience, wireless music streaming, sound editing capabilities, and a wealth of learning tools.

This pocket-sized powerhouse eliminates the need for bulky amps, pedals, and complex computer interfaces, offering instant gratification for practice, jamming, and recording. Plug the KATANA:GO directly into your instrument’s output jack, connect headphones or earbuds, and you’re ready to rock.
Over 60 BOSS effects
The KATANA:GO emulates the sounds of the popular Katana stage amplifiers, offering 10 distinct amp types for guitar, ranging from clean to high-gain, and three dedicated bass amp types derived from the Katana Bass amplifiers.
Over 60 BOSS effects are available in each mode, providing a wide range of sonic possibilities, with deep customization accessible through the BOSS Tone Studio app (iOS and Android).
Stage Feel
An innovative “Stage Feel” function uses advanced BOSS spatial technology to create a realistic playing experience, allowing users to position the amp and backing music within the sound field, simulating the feel of playing on stage or in a room with other musicians. This feature is customizable via BOSS Tone Studio.
Bluetooth connectivity allows for music streaming from mobile devices and wireless sound editing. Integration with BOSS Tone Exchange provides access to a vast library of user-created and professionally designed Livesets.
Session
The BOSS Tone Studio app also includes a powerful “Session” feature designed to enhance practice routines, including creating song lists, looping sections of music, and even setting timestamps for automatic memory switching while playing along with YouTube backing tracks.
The KATANA:GO also functions as a USB audio interface, enabling users to record high-quality Katana tones directly into music production software. Stage Feel can be applied to the instrument signal and streamed backing music.
An integrated OLED display shows the current memory and tuner information, while onboard controls allow for easy adjustment of volume, memory selection, and other functions.
A built-in rechargeable battery provides up to five hours of continuous playing time.
Support for the optional EV-1-WL Wireless MIDI Expression Pedal and FS-1-WL Wireless Footswitch allows hands-free control of various parameters.
The KATANA:GO supports importing Tone Setting data from Katana guitar and bass amplifiers, and the integrated 1/4-inch plug folds down for portability.
An optional CB-KTNGO carrying pouch is available.
