Cort has announced its new Essence series of acoustic guitars, aiming to deliver high-quality instruments at an affordable price point of $449. The series features two distinct body shapes: the Grand Auditorium (GA) and the OM Cutaway (OC).
Cort Essence Series
Cort is enthusiastic about the Essence-GA-4, touting it as the "perfect Grand Auditorium acoustic" due to its deep body, narrow waist, and 45mm nut width. The ***Essence-OC-4,***with its shallower body and 43mm nut, is designed to appeal to singer-songwriters seeking a more intimate connection with their instrument.
Torrified solid Sitka spruce
Both models boast torrified solid Sitka spruce tops and bracing, utilizing Cort's Aged to Vintage construction techniques to replicate the rich tones of vintage instruments. A mahogany back and sides contribute warmth and balanced tonal characteristics, while rosewood fingerboards enhance sustain.
Semi-Gloss
Aesthetically, the Essence series features herringbone rosette and purfling, bone nut and saddle, and vintage open-gear tuners—semi-gloss finishes, available in classic Black Top, Brown Top, and Natural.
Fishman
For amplified performance, both guitars are equipped with Fishman Presys VT EQ systems and Fishman S-core pickups, discreetly installed within the body to preserve the instrument's natural resonance. A simplified Volume and Tone control interface emphasizes the clear sound, further enhanced by Elixir Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze Light strings.
