Digitech Bad Monkey - Hype Price Increase
The original Digitech Bad Monkey was a very affordable (around £25 in the UK) TubeScreamer-style overdrive pedal, but it was later pushed to exorbitant prices online by Josh Scott of JHS Pedals and YouTube influencers, who claimed it could achieve Klon-style drive tones.
DOD/Digitech was even rumoured to be reissuing it not that long ago.
Controls
It has a Phase switch (Troop) and a Clean Blend of some sort, but that's all we know for now. With two controls labeled Mood and Barrel.
More Monkey?
DOD is now the brand making the former Digitech-branded overdrive pedal. However, it is all the same company, and so this reissue/relaunch/updated pedal still makes sense. This new version has a monkey graphic and a similar green metallic finish; however, it has the more vintage-style DOD pedal casing and layout.
