Line 6 Helix Stadium 1.4: The Eras Update Adds Stem Splitting
Line 6 Helix Stadium 1.4 adds 14 new Agoura amps including the Brit SL100, AI stem splitting, and enhanced MIDI workflow.

Line 6 has officially dropped Firmware Update 1.4 for the Helix Stadium. Dubbed “The Eras Update,” this massive free download fundamentally expands the ecosystem with 14 new Agoura amp channel settings, AI-powered stem separation, and highly requested workflow tweaks for live musicians.
14 New Agoura Amp Channels & "The Eras"
This update brings the total Agoura amp channel count to 67, pushing the unit's total to an impressive 178 amp channels when factoring in HX models. The crown jewel of this drop is the Brit SL100, an exhaustively detailed model capturing four distinct eras of the legendary Marshall Plexi Superlead.
Because the original vintage circuits were notoriously inconsistent, Line 6 modeled the four years with the most significant tonal shifts. Crucially for tone chasers, they added a tweakable "bright cap" parameter across all four models, letting you fine-tune high-frequency pass-through and control how the subsequent gain stages respond.

Brit SL100 Updates
1967: The Foundation
The first year of production, sonically resembling a 100-watt version of a very important American amplifier from that era.
1968: More Gain & Bite
Modifications to the bright channel reduced bass response, increased high frequencies, and noticeably bumped up overall gain.
1970: Increased Headroom
Both channels received greater headroom along with critical changes to the presence circuit.
1971: Bass & Mids Shift
Further presence circuit adjustments affected the high-mids, along with a few dB increase in bass gain.

Omega Granophyre
For modern metal players, the Omega Granophyre 6L6 delivers a tight, aggressive single-channel high-gain experience.

Prosecutor
If you’re chasing warm boutique tones, The Prosecutor serves as the latest Agoura-level evolution of Ben Adrian’s acclaimed Litigator HX model.

Six New Effects
Your virtual pedalboard is expanding with four new dirt boxes and two modulations:
- Rock Box Distortion & Boost: Two distinct drives for pushing the front of your amp.
- Makato: Based on Ben Adrian’s versatile Cartographer preamp circuit.
- Porterbox 424: Derived from the lo-fi, gritty preamp of a legendary vintage Portastudio.
- Essex Vibe: A classic amp top-boost vibrato circuit.
- Dimension W: An iconic 80s spatial effect perfect for thickening mono guitar parts (and highly recommended for widening other instruments).

Stem Splitting in the Showcase Engine
With Yamaha’s Music Connect, the Helix Stadium app now features powerful stem splitting. Simply drag a stereo audio file into the app, and it uploads to the cloud for processing, then returns to your unit as five distinct stems: Drums, Bass, Guitar, Vocals, and Other.
Once isolated, you can mix or mute specific instruments—perfect for learning complex parts or jamming along with a backing track minus the original guitar. You can also add flags to the song’s timeline to automatically recall presets or snapshots for different sections. If you need to shorten a song for a live set, a new feature lets you skip markers seamlessly.
Enhanced Workflow & Connectivity
Line 6 has overhauled the remote experience. You can now edit via the Helix Stadium app over a tethered USB connection—a lifesaver at venues with unstable Wi-Fi.
Under the hood, DSP optimizations have significantly shortened preset-switching times. Live players will also appreciate expanded MIDI capabilities, including MIDI control over the three matrix mixer layers (1/4-inch, XLR, and headphones). This lets you—or your sound engineer—control backing track mixes remotely without touching the pedalboard.
How to Update:
Firmware 1.4 is now available for free. You can update your Helix Stadium over Wi-Fi using your Line 6 Account, or manually via USB with the Helix Stadium app.
- +Brit SL100 offers four distinct vintage Marshall eras with tweakable bright cap
- +AI stem splitting isolates drums, bass, guitar, vocals, and other instruments
- +Enhanced MIDI control over three matrix mixer layers
- +Faster preset-switching with DSP optimizations
- +USB tethered editing bypasses Wi-Fi connectivity issues
What's the Brit SL100 in the Line 6 Helix Stadium 1.4 update?
The Brit SL100 models a Marshall Plexi Superlead across four production years (1967–1971), each with distinct tonal characteristics. All versions include a tweakable bright cap parameter to control high-frequency response and gain stage interaction.
Can I use stem splitting on the Helix Stadium?
Yes. The Helix Stadium app now integrates Yamaha's Music Connect for cloud-based stem separation. Upload stereo audio files to isolate drums, bass, guitar, vocals, and other instruments, then mix, mute, or learn from individual tracks.
What new effects did the 1.4 update add?
Six new effects: Rock Box Distortion & Boost, Makato (Cartographer-based preamp), Porterbox 424 (Portastudio-inspired), Essex Vibe (amp top-boost vibrato), and Dimension W (80s spatial modulation).
