PRS “Dead Spec” Silver Sky
Inspired by Jerry Garcia's legendary "Alligator" guitar tones, this modified version of Mayer's signature axe boasts significant spec changes for a unique musical experience.

Swamp Ash
The core of the "Dead Spec" Silver Sky lies in its lightweight Swamp Ash body, deviating from the traditional alder, and is finished in a Moc Sand satin nitro for a sleek look that beautifully complements the ash wood grain.
Modified
The bridge features a modified PRS patented Gen III Tremolo, securely screwed to the body, transforming it into a string-through hardtail bridge. The inclusion of the tremolo's brass block enhances the guitar's warmth. At the opposite end, a brass nut and a string retainer bar contribute to the overall resonance and tone.
Alembic Blaster
One standout feature is the replacement of the jack plate with a brass-plate Alembic Blaster preamp. This preamp, functioning as a boost, comes with an internal pot allowing players to add 3-14 dB of gain when activated. This not only provides the Dead Spec Silver Sky with added punch and crisp note separation but also compensates for the capacitance associated with long cables. The preamp circuit is bypassed when in the off position.
Limited Run
Limited to just 1,000 units, the PRS "Dead Spec" Silver Sky is set to ship from November 2023 to March 2024. MSRP - $3499
