Tonocracy is now FREE for all users with version 2.01 onwards. You may have read our news article last year about Tonocracy, well now it is free.
Tonocracy 2.01
We covered the new Tonocracy software announcement at the tail end of 2023. When it launched they were asking $299 plus taxes for the full version. Now it has been announced that they will give it away for free.

Official details and information from Atomic Amplifiers about the Tonocracy 2.01 update taken from their official site; Tonocracy is now FREE!!! Enjoy all the features and functions of the current version with NO locks, nags, or limitations including:
- The current collection of SchemAccurate amp models
- Unlimited ToneSnap capture, creation, and batching
- Unlimited NAM support/playback
- The current collection of pedals and effects
- Full power of Tonocracy’s signal routing capabilities including parallel paths, splits, combines, and mixing with virtually unlimited blocks
- No need to be online to import content
- Unrestricted standalone app and plugin use
NOTE: If you have a previous version of Tonocracy installed, you may need to choose “Update purchased content” from the main menu before you are able to access all of the SchemAccurate amp models. (If you see “DEMO MODE” in the upper-right corner, you likely need to do this step.)
Guitar Bomb Verdict
It is always nice to get some free software for virtual amps, or AI amp captures. The recent free download for Two Notes customers, and the Genome amp software was another bonus for 2024 as well. However, with that one, you had to already own one of their products to qualify. It all feels a little like free beta testing in the public domain, but hey if it is free then you cannot complain!
